It makes sense that UX research is usually a big investment for companies that are just starting out. I’m working to connect more early-stage startups with UX Researchers who are happy to help answer their high-level questions and shape a research strategy that will set them up for success!

Project Clarity

To start, you’ll need a product, a clear research question, and a target audience. Together we’ll work to define the scope (baseline metrics, hypotheses, product milestones, and intended research impact).

Stakeholder Sync

5 separate 60-minute meetings with the apprentice team over the 3-month cycle.

Context & Presence

Provide basic business overview, website, and LinkedIn presence.

FAQs

You can propose research questions ranging from what we call tactical (Is our product prototype intuitive? Do users know where to find pricing information on our website? etc.) to more evaluative (What do users need in a relationship with their legal representation? How do users approach the process of choosing a new car? etc.) A Researcher will work with you to understand your top research questions and scope out a project.

We recommend beginning with 3-6 high-level research questions. The researcher you work with will help to scope which questions can be answered in your project.

Project timelines depend largely on the questions at hand and resources available to facilitate research. A Researcher in training will take on projects that can be completed in 1 month or less.

While setting up your project, a Researcher will let you know what types of information and deliverables you can expect. Insights will be tailored to your questions and a Researcher will collaborate with your team to ensure that next steps are actionable.
